Psalm 130

1 Out of the depths I cry to you, Lord;
2 Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to my cry for mercy.
3 If you, Lord, kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand?
4 But with you there is forgiveness, so that we can, with reverence, serve you.

A Prayer:
OK God. Here I am, down in a deep hole again. I got in here by myself, but I can’t figure out how to get out. All I had to do was walk down the path like you taught me, but I did something bad that got me off the path. Well, that caused all sorts of problems, pain and guilt! As usual, it was my fault and I knew better, but could you please take pity on me just one more time? God, are you there? Oh, please be there!

prayer flagsI know this is not my first offence. Thanks for not keeping score. Oh, but if you could forgive me one more time, and give me a hand out of this hole, I would be ever so grateful. I would get back on the path and try my best to avoid the next one.

Amen

May we never forget that we can ask for help.
